Saint-Jorioz - Montee de Semnoz-Crêt de Châtillon  56km-1350m

Very beautiful route with the challenging Montee de Semnoz from Annecy to Cret de Chatillon. The 9 km before the summit are almost continuously at 7-10%. However, the road quality on the great descent to Col de Leschaux is quite poor (summer 2018). The pass is very busy, so it is best tackled early in the morning or in the evening. From Col de Leschaux, there is a very nice, low-traffic road back to Lake Annecy with great views of the lake. (The route direction is counterclockwise - i.e., climbing from Annecy)
