About this route
From Prad to Lake Resia then to Haider Alm, the local mountain of the inhabitants of St. Valentin. In winter a small and fine ski resort, in summer a hiking and biking area with interesting views.
The name ‘Goas’ comes from the Vinschgau dialect and means goat in German. When the farmers in this region still largely practiced ‘goat farming’ in agriculture, this mountain was the grazing area for these animals. Hence the name Goasberg; for bikers, this tour received the name ‘Goasberg-Cross’.
