Start and end are at the Dörpshuus in Niendorf. From there, you go on the bike/pedestrian path south and then left into OLEN HOF. At the end of the street, a small sandy path leads to the canal. At the canal, there is a well-developed sandy path that is easy and flat to ride. You ride directly along the canal and can observe the activity at the locks if you want to take a break. Pedestrians must be given due consideration. In Berkenthin, you can ride left up the hill to stop at the small ice cream kiosk behind the gas station for a delicious ice cream break.

You leave the path at the canal where you turn left onto a small path to Rondeshagen. This brings you to the street RINGREITERWEG. Then you ride diagonally across the KRUMMESSERWEG into the DORFSTRASSE and turn diagonally left into ZUM RUUM and left into ZUM SCHÄFERKATEN. Follow this path for a while until it becomes ZUM GUTSHOF and is now located in Groß Weeden. We stay on this road and now have to cross the B 208 and drive a bit south next to it until we can turn right into STEINSTÜCKEN in Sierksrade. We ride along here until we reach a T-intersection and turn left, riding on field paths until we reach the edge of the forest. (If you like, you can now take a detour and follow the signs to Bergrade and enjoy a delicious piece of cake with a coffee at the cafe Uppn Barg. Otherwise, you go straight into the forest and follow the signs towards Niendorf/canal. At the intersection at the edge of the forest, continue straight ahead into the forest until the next turn where you turn left and ride down the steep cobbled path, which is then called AM HEEBARG and after the intersection in the village of Niendorf then turns into BORGGRABEN, where you also started at the beginning.
