Desafio Sierra Aznalcollar_2018

Edition of the 12th B.T.T. Sierra de Aznalcóllar Challenge. Composed of a Long Route of 87 km and an Alternative Route of 66 km. The Start will be located at the Fairgrounds of Aznalcóllar and the Finish at Avenida de Andalucía. After the neutral start through the streets of the village, we will travel the first kilometers in the direction of the Casas la Dehesa, Cortijo del Negro, Cerro Hornito, los Alemanes up to the crossing of El Brinco, direction La Zarcita, we cross the road of El Alamo, to tackle the ascent of La Muchacha, we take the road of El Alamo, cross the bridge of Madroñalejos and deviate to take the path to climb the Alto del Águila, home of Sebastiana, we continue towards the Puerto de la Cruz and later we will meet the FIRST DIVERSION OF SHORT/LONG ROUTE. The SHORT ROUTE goes straight ahead and the LONG ROUTE diverts to the left arriving at the small ponds of Sebastiana, where we will encounter some short climbs but with high percentages, after overcoming them we will arrive at the crossing of La Osa, where we will meet again with the cyclists of the Short Route. We will continue through the Barranco de la Osa to climb this pass of 5 km length with an average gradient of 5%. We will head towards the Castaños, Barranco del Cuaco next we will reach the path of las Cañadas to Doña Austria, where the SECOND DIVERSION POINT OF ROUTE (LONG/SHORT) is located. The short route turns left towards Doña Austria and the village. The long route turns right where we will find two small sections of two-way traffic, and then we head to the intersection of las Cañadas on the road of El Alamo and we will head to the area of Espartalejos, Agrio river, to pass through these beautiful landscapes until we reach the Alto de la Parrita and reach the road of El Alamo to return again to the area of Barranco de las Puercas and we go back to the path of las Cañadas to Doña Austria, we have the last 20 km left but we have to face the ascent of Doña Austria (1.7 km at 9% average gradient) and the relentless undulations until we reach the finish line. We will arrive again at the road of El Alamo towards the village and turn right to ascend to La Zarcita towards El Brinco, we will turn right to take the path that will lead us to los Alemanes, we pass it and take the path of las Coladas de los Charcos until the path of la Huerta, exiting through the road of Escacena through the Cortijo el Negro, we will take the Vereda de la Carne to the Casas de las Dehesas, to reach our village and Avenida de Andalucía where the finish will be.
