This is a route we cycled in the summer of 2012. It will take you pass the highlights of Lofoten and Vesteralen. We cycled back and forth in three weeks. The route I am showing here is with some deviations from our original tour, but I wanted to indictate which places are nice to visit.

    Look back to where you came from the see the massive clifs, rising over this little fishermens town.

    Sandsletta Camping has a few nice cabins you can rent. And they have a sauna next to the fjord, so you can cool down again.

    Around here, you can find a mondern little hut, that gives excellent shelter when the weather is bad. Made for cyclists.

    The road to the left is also really worthwile.

    This little town was destroyed in a storm, but it is being build up again. In one of the cafes you get the best Cheese cake in the world. That could already be the reason to cycle here.

    The little town is a good start for a 10 hour Whale watching tour including Sperm whales, dolphins and all the nice little seabirds that are living on the island north of it.
