E2 Durch den Hohen Norden Teil 2

The longest stage with 194 km and the first mountain classification of our tour is the Itzespitze at kilometer 42, if you can even call it that for an 83 m high hill. Then we slowly but surely head towards the Elbe; the closer we get to the Hamburg metropolitan area, the more traffic tends to increase, of course. Since we approach Hamburg from the west, the famous Waseberg in the Blankenese district must of course not be missed. If traffic lights and traffic conditions allow, the remaining kilometers through Hamburg will be a triumphant ride past the St. Pauli landing stages and the Elbphilharmonie. We leave the big city relatively quickly and can comfortably cruise along the dikes until we then cross the Elbe by ferry and at Winsen an der Luhe we enter Lower Saxony territory for the first time before setting up our second camp near Lüneburg at the 'Heiligenthal Watermill'.
