E9 Von der Donau an den Bodensee

The final stage to Lindau is quite long at 155 km, but the fantastic panoramas over Lake Constance and the postcard landscape of Allgäu make up for it. It starts immediately with an ascent; right from the starting point in Tuttlingen, we climb up to the viewpoint mountain Witthoh. Then it goes flat to rolling eastwards, and only the known Höchsten, another viewpoint mountain, delivers the next significant gain in altitude. Soon after, we reach Allgäu, the topography becomes hillier, and the Alps draw closer. Passing through Wangen, Lindenberg im Allgäu, and Scheidegg, we cross the border into Austria towards Hochberg at 1026m, the highest point of our Germany tour, pure idyll in the ninth stage, which ends in Lindau, and the Deutschland-Tour 2019 is already history.
