Piazza al Serchio - Reggio Emilia

From the station of Piazza al Serchio, you climb to Sillano, then Capanne di Sillano, Ospedaletto, and you arrive at Passo Pradarena (1574 m elevation). You take a right onto a dirt road that cuts some hairpin turns of the Via Pradarena, and after reconvening with the SP, you pass through Ospitaletto and arrive at Ligonchio. We join (with some dirt sections) the SP 59 reaching Cà Bracchi. Here you turn left onto Via della Loggia, then Via del Guadarolo and arrive at Piolo. You continue left on SP 59 towards Primaore (you pass the fork), then with a short dirt stretch you reach Cerrè Sologno. On a downhill dirt road, you reach the SP 108 (cutting a bit of asphalt) and reach Segalara. You follow the SP 108 for a section until you leave it to continue on Pista Gatta Pianella that runs alongside the Secchia river. We will leave the Pista to cross the Secchia and follow SP 9 Gatta until we reach Felina. We follow the SP 63 for a stretch and before the tunnel take the secondary road Monte Portola to the right. In Branciglia we take the right onto Via Branciglia, then left first onto a dirt road and then onto a secondary that takes us to Casina. A dirt road leads us to La Canala until we merge onto the SP 63 which we take to the right. We pass through Bettola, La Vecchia, Casoleta until we take the Ciclabile Matildica della Val Crostolo, then the Sentiero del Crostolo. We reach Vezzano sul Crostolo, Puianello, then again the dirt road of the Crostolo, San Pellegrino, we enter Reggio through Porta Castello, pass through the historic center and arrive at the Hostel della Ghiara.
