Sarbinowo 7 - Karlino

Apparently today is the warmest day of our stay in Sarbinowo, so I head towards Karlino. My wife gives me a lift to Tymień. Unfortunately, I pedal almost 2 hours into the wind to Karlino. On site, I find a path along the former narrow-gauge railway route and set off for Gościno. The path is very nice and interestingly routed, so it’s fast and smooth cycling. Already in Gościno, the first hitch. There is a complete lack of any signage for the branch of the route to Rymań. By chance, I see a woman cycling, catch up with her, and ask for directions. Unfortunately, I won't make it in time to reach Drozdowo. So I only reach the Siemyśl commune and have to return to Gościno. Here, I head towards Ząbrowo and leave the path. Despite many advantages, it also has many shortcomings. The main one is poor signage at rest points. Basically, you don’t know exactly where you are. There are also no distances to the next rest points or general mileage. Critical spots like roundabouts or larger intersections are also poorly marked. And they probably used too thin a layer of asphalt because in many places tree roots have already formed bumps. But the concept of the path’s routing is excellent—worth copying throughout Poland. Since a terrible day is forecast for tomorrow, today was probably the last trip from Sarbinowo. Despite the awful weather, I managed to complete 90% of my planned excursions and visit several new communes. I just didn’t do the route from Świnoujście to Kołobrzeg, but that will be an opportunity to come back here sometime.
