The route follows the red hiking trail along the ridge of Považský Inovec. It starts in Hlohovec and has primarily an ascending character. It leads through forests, meadows, and occasionally through cornfields. There are two 'refreshment stations' along the route, a buffet at the Havran saddle and a recreation center at Bezovec. Here, I recommend avoiding Koliba (they serve stale beer) and visiting the Sport Lodge. Just past Bezovec, at the saddle below Skalinami, the route departs from the ridge and descends via the blue trail long down to Hrádok and from there along the asphalt road to Nové Mesto nad Váhom to catch the train. The second part from Bezovec to Trenčín will follow.
