S. Piero a Sieve-Trebbio-SP Carlone-CalenzanoCareggi-Firenze FS

From San Piero a Sieve, climb up to the castle of Trebbio, then descend to Tagliaferro and take the SP 107 Carlone. After a bit more than a kilometre on asphalt, the road turns to gravel and climbs for about 3 km to Quercetino. Here we cross via delle Magliane. If desired (in case of bad weather), you can take a left and descend on asphalt to Legri and Calenzano. The route, however, continues to the right reaching a junction. We take the first left gravel road leading to Casa Le Valli, Santa Lucia a Colonna, La Ciusa and Calenzano. Now we go on via delle Cantine, then via di Chiosina, climbing again for about 4 km up to Molino Baroncoli and Villa Poggiolo. Then descend to Doccia, ride along the Parco di Monte Acuto, reach the area of Careggi and arrive at the Santa Maria Novella station.
