La Lac

The well-known poet Mihai Eminescu was born in Botosani, spent his childhood in Ipotesti, and wandered through these places, especially at the 'Lacul cu Nufer', 'Izvor', and through the extensive Baisa forest.

The forest sections have true off-road qualities and pose minor orientation challenges.

Besides what Eminescu represents, the route also includes a diagonal crossing of the largest Dacian fortress with earthen defensive walls, the Stincesti fortress.

I think this is one of the most picturesque circuit routes around the city of Botosani.
