Pod Velkou Deštnou

Everything started with a pleasant gentle climb through the Lukavice valley, and until Debřec it wasn't particularly challenging. Then the stage profile began to indicate that we were at the foothills of the Orlické Mountains, and the short hills started to become steeper. After the descent to Uhřínov, there was a long climb followed by an ascent to the turn towards Zámeček and into the Luisin valley beneath the Great Deštná. The ascent to Zámeček and into the Luisin valley already has a distinctly alpine character. There followed a long descent into Deštné and then the last three-kilometre climb on the road to Plasnice. From there to Rychnov n.Kn. a leisurely ride with beautiful views of Podorlicko.
