About This Route

This is the beginning of the South Downs Way, which stretches 99 miles, coming out of Winchester. Eventually I'll try to describe the whole thing, but the first 6.5km is as far as I got today. Wonderful views and some steepclimbs/descents. Track is made for walkers, so can be quite rough, esp at speed downhill. Watch the time of day: with the descents/ascents you might have the sun full on in your eyes, not great on these roads (baseball cap? helmet with visor?).
