Tritop (Krehberg-Neunkircher Höhe-Felsberg)

Beautiful MTB tour over three of the four highest elevations in the Vorderer Odenwald. From Heppenheim it goes towards Unter-Hambach, then over Helenenruhe and Lindenstein passing Jägerrast to Krehberg. Further past Mathildenruhe to the road towards Knoden and then turn right towards Breitenwiesen. Down to Kolmbach, cross the B47 and on the other side up to Neunkircher Höhe. However, the route I have chosen is more suitable for 'downhill' - for 'uphill' it's better (before entering the forest) to go left down and through a hollow in a wide arc to the paved trail towards Kaiserturm. Short detour to the radar station and then down the asphalt road to the right onto Neunkircher Straße. Here, immediately turn left towards Modau-Quelle. Continue through the forest towards the valley and across fields and meadows to Beedenkirchen. At the town exit, turn right to the Felsenmeer parking lot and go up the serpentine path to Felsberg. Pass the Ohlyturm along a nice, slightly blocked trail (Caution: There are some fallen trees around at the moment!) until the fork towards Schollrain parking lot/Melibokus, here switch left to the parallel running path and continue straight to 'Gambolimbo' (really nice trail, somewhat narrow and demanding, but not blocked). Continue on the paved road and before Borsteinhaus (NFH) turn right and pass the OWK memorial Teufelstein towards Selterswasserhäuschen. The steep concrete ramp can be bypassed on a small trail to the left. Continue to the 'dead man' and straight up to the small shelter. There take the narrow trail that runs parallel to the gravel path. (...)
