Maratea - Praia a Mare - S.M. del Cedro - Diamante 54 km 400 Hm

Departure from Maratea again onto the SS 18, which retains its dream route character until Praia a Mare and also descends. At Tortora Marina, you can then head directly to the Lungomare and cycle several kilometers along the sea to Praia a Mare. The old SP 1 takes you up to the now heavily trafficked SS 18, which you should also take to comfortably cross 3 deep terrain cuts. You quickly reach Scalea, but it is traffic-heavy, where we turn inland towards S.M. del Cedro. It follows a varied route with much guessing about what is currently cultivated here. Then downhill to Cirella and at the beach in front of the turquoise sea towards Diamante. Great gravel beach, still completely free of beach establishments, splendid sea. Diamante is a small, charming place that can still be recommended in May without tourists.
