'The Biennathlon starts anew on inline skates. Thanks to the cooperative authorities and police representatives, the race can now be launched right at the beach. From Nidau, it goes via Beundenring to Ipsach (roundabout), from where participants will run on the main road toward Sutz. 800 m later, a left turn is made into the neighborhood, where the first elevation changes will spread the field. Exiting Ipsach, there is a descent that caused falls last year. We advise all inline skaters who do not feel very secure to wear protective gear (wrist, elbow, and knee pads, possibly also Kevlar tights). After the underpass in Sutz, the course will be extended by a 1 km loop. A scenic highlight at the halfway point is the view over the lake towards the Chasseral with its distinctive antenna. With the momentum from the descent after the church in Sutz and a bit of tailwind from the west, one is quickly back at the beach.'
