Easy stage. Flat route with two small climbs after Menaggio and Lugano touching the shores of 5 lakes. From Chiavenna, alongside Mezzola Lake in some places on bike paths, you arrive at Lake Como. From Gera Lario to Menaggio along the lake, CAUTION for passage through some tunnels and for traffic (proceed strictly in single file). At Menaggio, turn right and after a short climb you reach Porlezza. At the end of the village, before the tunnel, leave the main road and take the bike path that runs along Lugano Lake. You enter Swiss territory and cross Lugano staying close to the lakeshore. Direction Muzzano Lake towards Ponte Tresa. Return to Italy towards Luino on Lake Maggiore. Along the lake up to the checkpoint at Laveno.
