Fascinating and demanding long-distance ride through the Nördlinger Ries to the medieval and romantic Dinkelsbühl.

Not surprisingly, the route follows sections of the famous 'Romantic Road' - but in a distinctly more bike-friendly way ;) This allows for largely avoiding the lively traffic in this region.

The terrain is particularly challenging and undulating, with sometimes severe elevation changes, especially on the edges of the meteorite crater.

The detour south of Mönchsdeggingen is as optional as the one heading north to Dinkelsbühl - but particularly scenic and rewarding!
