Na kole z Prunéřova do Pernštejna podél řeky Ohře

As part of today's cycling trip, we will set off from Prunéřov to Kadaň, and then along the Ohře River through Klášterec to Pernštejn. There we will board a train and head back to Prunéřov. We can expect a pleasant bike ride, during which we will stop for food at a restaurant in Klášterec, pass by several tourist attractions, and may also visit the porcelain museum. The surface is practically paved or hardened for the entire journey. The only exception is a short stretch near Černýš, where we will ride on a rural road.

We will park at the Kadaň - Prunéřov railway station, which is located very close to the Prunéřov power plant. It is here that the cycling route 3115 starts, leading all the way to the center of Kadaň. We will initially ride along the road, and then we will cycle through the revitalized area and the Roosevelt Gardens into the historical part of Kadaň.

Once we arrive at the Ohře River, we will turn right onto cycle path number 6. Along the embankment, we will pass by the monument and the Kadaň clock, over which the Kadaň castle towers. It was founded in the mid-13th century by the Přemyslids and is currently owned by the city of Kadaň. At the end of the embankment, we will climb along the cable-stayed steel bridge Vít Brandy up to the dam.

Behind the dam, we will continue towards Rašovice up to Klášterec nad Ohří. We will ride along the course of the Ohře River. If we have time, we can visit the neo-Gothic castle in Klášterec and its extensive park. There is also, for example, a museum of Czech porcelain here. After exiting the castle area, we will find ourselves in the spa part of the city, where we can taste several springs. At the same time, we can also take a look at the Klášterec weir, around which we will ride.

In Klášterec nad Ohří, we will pass by Dr. Eduard Beneš Square. It is here that the Peřeje restaurant is located, where we can stop for a meal. In addition to the daily menu, we can choose from both Czech and international cuisine. Beef steak, Farm Burger, pork tenderloin, or chicken breast with vegetables, are just a fraction of the dishes served here. Vegetarians can order, for example, fried cheese or pasta.

After returning to the cycle path, we enter the final phase of the trip. We continue along cycle route number 6. On the right side, the ruin of Šumburk is hard to miss. We arrive at the holiday settlement of Černýš, where we will start to gently ascend and encounter a viewpoint with a nice view of the Ohře River valley. In the upcoming part of the village of Pernštejn - Lužný, we will cross over a road bridge to the other side of the river and arrive at the Pernštejn railway station.

Here we will get on the train and be taken back to Prunéřov, where we left our parked car.
