Amazing and wonderful experiences. I recommend it to everyone. My friend and I completed it in 6 days (5 overnight stays - Volary, Peuerbach, Gosau, Mauterndorf, at the A-IT border). Accommodation costs everywhere range around 20-30€, with 25€ being the most common. Be careful with accommodation in Peuerbach: you'll search a long time until someone who speaks English tells you it's in the cinema. This raises suspicion, but it's a nice hotel. If you arrive in Kotschach-Mautern after 6 p.m., even if tempting, better stay there; darkness comes quickly and the hills with long tunnels in the dark are not great. Also, at the A-IT border, everyone will try to rip you off. Otherwise, great. Regarding climbs, first the Šumava, then especially the climb to Obertauern and Katschberg. Reserve plenty of energy for those. Otherwise, a nice trip even for less experienced riders. I also recommend using the Drauweg cycle path... and many other well-marked routes on the way.
