Abendspaziergang ***

The route starts in Coburg at Sonntagsanger and leads near the Itz towards Lauterer Grund. Then it goes through Bertelsdorf, over Glend, Sulzdorf and Beiersdorf to Callenberg. With the castle always in sight, upon reaching the top, after a nice climb to exhaust oneself, you are rewarded with a beautiful view. After that, it goes through the Callenberger Forest (a beautiful piece of forest), over Weidach and Weitramsdorf to Tambach, where you can enjoy a nice cold wheat beer at the biergarten 'Waldcafè', including some snacks. The return route via Altenhof and Hegramsdorf on the bike path Seßlach Coburg is a crowning conclusion. Passing fields and fragrant wooded areas, it goes back towards Coburg through Altenhof and Hergramsdorf. The climbs there challenge you once again but are rewarded by an adrenaline-packed descent at high speed along the Heckenweg back into Coburg. The last section of descent must be experienced.
