According to the tour:

'From Ilmenau on the B4 towards Suhl. After nearly 15 kilometers, turn right towards Oberhof. Just before Schmücke, you pass the pass height (942 m) below the Großen Beerberg (982 m). At the B247, turn right and rapidly downhill through Oberhof to Ohrdruf. There, turn left over Georgenthal to Tambach-Dietharz, where you go uphill again towards Schmalkalden, before another beautiful descent leads down to Schnellbach. In the village, turn left towards Steinbach-Hallenberg, pass Rotterode, and at the T-intersection turn right towards Suhl. Through Viernau and Benshausen; first towards Meiningen, then follow the sign to Albrechts. In the valley, keep left at the cross road, after a few meters take the right of the two roads and follow it in a steady up and down until Suhl. There, at the B247, briefly left, then right towards Ilmenau. Steeply uphill through the Plattenbauten of Suhl, continue through the forest over the Großen Erles hill (839 m). Down to Schmiedefeld to the B4. There left and immediately right towards Neustadt am Rennstieg. At the rest house Dreiherrenstein, turn left towards Ilmenau and enjoy the steep final descent.'
