Lanzarote-Rundtour: El Golfo

The bike tour goes from Puerto del Carmen on the southern coast to the place: El Golfo. From Puerto del Carmen, always along the road to Yaiza and further to La Hoya. At La Hoya, you can see the Salinas del Janubio. Then, along the coastal road, it continues to El Golfo. Be sure to visit El Lago Verde in El Golfo. In El Golfo, the road ends at the parking lot right at the Timanfaya National Park. From here, you can directly walk along the coast in the national park. Riding a bike on the footpath is not possible, as it is too rocky and rugged and not allowed. Definitely walk a bit in the national park. However, for walking in the lava fields, robust leather hiking shoes are absolutely necessary. Sneakers suffer a lot due to the sharp-edged lava rock. From El Golfo, I then rode directly on the road to Yaiza and then back to Puerto del Carmen.

The bike tour takes place on very good asphalt roads and can be managed without problems. The elevation gain on the tour is also limited.
