MONTE PETRELLA

A challenging route to do on a mountain bike.You start from the parking lot by Lago del Caccamo and quickly climb up to the church of Santa Maria Maddalena.At the arrival, a nice rest area awaits you to relax and enjoy the beautiful panorama.You continue on the dirt road that starts behind the church and quickly ascend the slopes of Monte Fiegni. The trail is always clearly visible and the view is 360 degrees (from the ridges of the Monti Sibillini to the Adriatic Sea). From here, the descent begins. First along the ridge of Monte Pietrella, then on the mountainside inside the forest. The trail connects to the 'percorso delle Carbonaie', a route set up by the Sibillini Park.Along the way, it is possible to find numerous rest areas.
