Route out from city centre to Ashton cycling circuit.
Head towards the velodrome and to Edge Lane which follows the back of Clayton Vale.
Take Medlock Road at the bottom of the hill by the pub and follow that towards Daisy Nook.
You can either go via Daisy Nook the back way or take Coal Pit Lane to Ashton Road and follow the main road. It's slightly longer but a better road surface.
