About This Route

Route out from city centre to Ashton cycling circuit.

  • Head towards the velodrome and to Edge Lane which follows the back of Clayton Vale.
  • Take Medlock Road at the bottom of the hill by the pub and follow that towards Daisy Nook.
  • You can either go via Daisy Nook the back way or take Coal Pit Lane to Ashton Road and follow the main road. It's slightly longer but a better road surface.
