Discesa Arcosu

Park at the small church of Santa Lucia and take the dirt road to Santadi.

13-14 km of false flat uphill.

After a slight descent, turn right onto a trail leading to the rest area of Is Fauneuas (Mitza).

First ford (very difficult during high water periods) and take the trail that leads towards the mountains.

Enter the woods and begin a very tough climb due to the sandy terrain and steep gradient.

Light descent and then uphill again: access gate to Monte Arcosu park, climb over it and continue uphill (uneven terrain and steep slope).

Around 500 meters above sea level the fun begins: a very enjoyable descent. WARNING: don’t ride too fast as some corners are tight and there’s no room to brake (sandy surface).

At the end of the descent another gate to jump over to return to the main road of the Monte Arcosu reserve.

About 10 km of descent and another gate jump (the third) to exit the reserve.
