Mittelpunkt - Treffurt

Start is at the geographical center of Germany in Niederdorla. 53 km route; to Nazza along a relatively busy road. After the approx. 4 km climb from Langula to the 'Struppeiche', a fast descent follows to Nazza. Behind Nazza (after about 2 km), turn right towards Frankenroda. Continue straight along the Werra to Treffurt. In Treffurt, before the bridge, get back on the road (toward Eschwege, Wanfried). After the hill behind Treffurt, turn right towards Wendehausen, Diedorf. There is a gentle but steady climb from Treffurt to Diedorf, which is particularly 'enjoyable' in headwinds.

After passing Diedorf, turn left approximately 300 m after the village sign onto the asphalted bike path (former railway embankment). Just before the 'Grenzhaus', you will come back to the road to master the last downhill section, the 'Kuhkopf'.
