17: ViaRhôna de Lapalud à Caderousse

ViaRhôna now offers a provisional route marked south of Lapalud on the left bank on the Vaucluse side. The itinerary winds through the agricultural plain up to the Donzère Canal. It then makes its way between the highway and the Rhône, offering connections to the medieval villages of Mondragon, Mornas, and Piolenc, as well as to the Roman city of Orange. You might consider a swim at the Les Girardes water body or at the Li Piboulos pond before resuming the route on a greenway along the Rhône. Gentle arrival at the Provençal village of Caderousse, surrounded by dikes protecting it from the Rhône’s hazards.
