Černá hora a Lysečinské boudy

The route goes along marked cycling paths. The starting and finishing point is at the central parking lot in Velká Úpa. (50CZK per day for parking, and you also get a nice magazine about the history of the Krkonoš Mountains)

It starts in the Javoří valley, then at the intersection turn left towards Vlašské boudy and then further up towards Václavák. Only the strongest will climb the steep ascent of Václavák, and we are already at the Černohorská boudy. Refreshments are available on-site or you can stop at the kiosk. They have an interesting hop, grapefruit and lemon lemonade. But be careful, using the toilet costs 5 Kč!!

Excellent descent from the Black Mountain - it’s definitely worth it to ride up the northern side and descend the southern side with a good asphalt road. Also, the descent from Janské Lázně to Dolní Maršov is worth it.

At the intersection in Dolní Maršov, turn left and immediately on the bridge on the green tourist path and to the right on the asphalt still going up, until the asphalt ends and continue on an unpaved road along the edge of the forest until reaching the cycling trail. Then you traverse Rýchor, at the fork do not go down to Horní Maršov, but take the unmarked path to Albeřice.

In Albeřicích go a little down and then immediately right up to Lysečinské boudy. It’s a grind, especially the end is very steep!! Along the way, there is a spring to fill up water. When we are at the fork at the top at an altitude of 958 m, we take the left fork slightly uphill towards Cestník.

Then we descend already, but be careful not to miss the turn left to Spálený Mlýn! Around the trade union lodge Semafor for 2,500 CZK per week for two people, we roll down to Spálený Mlýn, where we turn right and then immediately left to the bridge and up past Pěnkavčí and Červený vrch to Velká Úpa, there in the forest watch out, it’s steep and rocky.
