Karlsbad-Perstein II

Beautiful route over the Ore Mountains ridge into the Eger valley.

Bike path in Karlsbad:

At the 3rd roundabout (which is under the highway), there is a lowered curb between the first and second exit. There, the bike path begins on the left, descending towards the Eger. Before the highway crosses the Eger towards Prague, the path exits by crossing the Eger on a bridge closed to vehicular traffic to the right.

Ascent in Perstein:

In Perstein, there is also an alternative ascent on the right. It is not quite as steep and a bit shadier. However, the road is somewhat worse. Uphill, though, no problem.
