Culinary summit climb from the Mangfall Valley over the Irschenberg to the Winklstüberl

It starts gently, but no less charming in Feldkirchen-Westerham, passing the first hill chains in the flat part of the wide Mangfall Valley. Plenty of time to slowly warm up and prepare for the upcoming "mountain feats".

These await from Götting onwards, in the form of the long, occasionally somewhat "grueling" ascent up to the Irschenberg. In short, sharp intervals, the gradient occasionally exceeds 12%, making it quite challenging.

But then it’s time to recover on the descent into the Leitzach Valley. Only from Leitzach do you need to pedal again through a narrow, shaded valley up to Hundham.

Arriving on the high plateau, there is still some time to enjoy the beautiful alpine scenery around Breiten- and Wendelstein until Winkl.

Those who want to reward themselves for their effort so far can make a short stop at the well-known and culinarily excellent Winklstüberl to refuel.

This is also advisable, as there are still a few more meters of elevation to conquer down to Bad Feilnbach.

Only then does the predominantly flat return begin via Au, Berbling, Mitterham, Bruckmühl, and Vagen.

Unfortunately, the tour mostly follows roads with moderate to annoying traffic, especially on weekends. That is the price to pay for an extremely charming route!
