Rund um den Untersberg

A very beautiful and challenging route around the Untersberg. From Bad Reichenhall to Marzoll, it is rather flat. Then a climb to Latschenwirt that demands fitness, followed by a very dangerous descent to Fürstenbrunn with partially dangerous curves and a 22% gradient; good brakes are absolutely necessary. From Fürstenbrunn to Berchtesgaden, it's then a gentle ascent, while from Berchtesgaden to Hallthurm, it climbs a bit steeper with a small rise just before the level crossing. After the level crossing, it’s mostly downhill to Reichenhall, with only a small intermediate ascent in Bayerisch Gmain which is easy to tackle. After that, it’s a continuous downhill ride to Reichenhall.
