Baia-Mare-Remetea Chioarului-Somcuta Mare-Ciolt--Buteasa-Codru Butesei-Intrerauri-Coas-Catalina-Baia Mare

From Baia Mare, head towards Șomcuta Mare via the county road 182B (Săcălașeni), then from Șomcuta take road 184A towards Ciolt-Buteșa. In Codru Butesei, turn onto a gravel road 2 km before Buteșa, turn left (limestone quarry area). The route can be continued from Codru Butesei to the Preluca Nouă peak (687 m). You will reach a road intersection: - to the left Intrerauri - to the right ASPRA-SĂLNIȚA (crossing the Lăpuș river) - Preluca Veche - straight towards Preluca Nouă-Copălnic. Technical details: DST=80.73 km; RT=6h 24'; AVG=12.5 km/h; MAX=51 km/h. After crossing the bridge over the Lăpuș river in Codrii Butesei, there are sections where you need to push the bike. The Lăpuș river is crossed four times, while the Cavnic river only once. On the return from Coaș to Coruia, 2.5 km are ridden along the embankment of the Lăpuș river, then on asphalt back to Baia Mare.
