About this route
75% narrow gravel road 25% asphalt
A tribute to the soldiers in World War I who built the mulattiera up to the top of Pasubio, which was a border point at that time. Similar to our Krn.
The ascent and most of the descent are on fine to medium-coarse gravel, difficulty easy, maximal climbs <12% (my estimate). The views are phenomenal, even more impressive at the top is the Strada delle Galerie, a footpath carved into the vertical rock with tunnels and galleries built during World War I, which is closed to cyclists. Worth seeing, even if wearing SPD shoes... The descent is very similar to the ascent, views of the eastern side of Pasubio.
