Hill climb focus - my GPS confirms the distance and reports 6802 feet / 2073 metres of total ascent in this ride.

Two real challenges are the Axe Edge climb and the climb out from Allgreave to the Wild Boar PH.

The wind can have a real impact too - typical westerlies, but beware any southerly / souwester that blows you up Axe Edge as it will have its revenge once you turn for home at Danehead...
