About this route
Start ist in Neustadt (Wied). Es geht alles sehr flach durch´s Wiedtal bis Waldbreitbach. Mitten im Ort biegt man von der Hauptstraße links ab. (Richtung Verscheid,Hochscheid)
Es wird für ca. 5 km richtig steil. Am Ortsausgang Hochscheid ist der höchste Punkt mit etwa 365 m erreicht.
Jetzt steht dem Biker eine 2 km lange Abfahrt bevor, wo es sich zu konzentrieren gilt.
Zwischen Dasbach und Epgert folgt ein letzter, 1 km langer Anstieg.
Ab Epgert geht es für 5-6 km mehr oder weniger bergab.
In Oberlahr angekommen, fährt man für ca. 10 km (über Burglahr und Peterslahr) bis zum Start und Ziel Neustadt-Wied durch´s Wiedtal. (Alles flach)
Es ist eine landschaftlich schöne Strecke. Sie ist außerdem verkehrsarm und eignet sich deshalb besonders gut fürs Rennrad.
