Tura scurta- XCRace 2014

The short route is 30 km long and has over 800 m of elevation gain. It will start from the Sarata Monteoru resort, beginning with a gradual climb. It will pass by the only Oil Mine in Europe, continuing the ascent to the summit on a gravel road. From here, participants will enjoy the first descent on a stony path from which the route continues right on a semi-flat profile. This speed section is traversed through a deciduous forest on a dirt trail, reaching a sector of the trail with a view of the vineyard area from Dealul Viei. Then follows an ascent through the forest with a few more technical ramps. Once back on a stone road, the climb continues to the top of the ramp. A special, more winding descent follows among the trees, up to the entrance of a short section of asphalt road. Then comes a climb through the forest, with a few more technical ramps, and once at the top of the climb, you will enjoy a special winding descent among the trees that can be tackled at speed by the more experienced until reaching an asphalt section. From here the route continues up to the hill above the Sarata Monteoru resort. The climbing ramps contain technical sections both in terms of inclination degree and terrain texture, the route being on a dirt path over tree roots. A loop is then made that allows for a short overview of the area after which it descends on a dirt road towards the finish.
