Berja-Laujar de Andarax-Fondón-Berja

Short stage with the ascent to the Cid just after leaving Berja and then with the port of Barranco de los Caballos, which was considered by the organization of the Vuelta a España in 2009 as third category in stage no. 13. Later someone said it seemed little for the toughness it has. The rest of the stage, although it has a climb, is much softer arriving at Laujar, which is practically all flat. I recommend, once you arrive in Fondón, to refill the water bottles at the fountain in the village square and then the return to Berja is a quick descent that can be done in no time.
