Rhein-Main-Runde

The route starts at the Offenbach-Bürgel campsite, which is accessible from the Frankfurt district of Fechenheim via a bridge. Since it is a loop, you can of course also start at any other point along the route.

The route was planned as a road cycling route, aiming to use as many paved bicycle and farm roads as possible and as few country roads as possible.

Between Münster (near Dieburg) and Stockstadt am Main, part of the route runs along gravel paths, which are not ideal for road bikes but are still quite rideable in dry weather. Road bike purists can probably detour onto the parallel B26 between Dieburg and Stockstadt. However, I have not ridden there myself yet.

Apart from the passage through the town of Darmstadt, the route can mostly be ridden quickly. The course is quite straightforward and the asphalt is mostly of good quality. Notable but moderate climbs occur only between Griesheim and Dieburg.
