About This Route

This is ride #25 from volume 2 of Rubber to the Road (a book of bike routes around Portland)

After our first ride I would recommend taking something other than 232nd back to 212 as it is very steep (9-12% grades), very winding and no shoulder.

Next time we are going to continue on Hwy 224 until it meets 212 and take 172nd back.

The first half of the ride was fantastic; beautiful country roads with good hills and great views. We missed the McCabe exit off of Hwy 26 and went to Firwood. This actually turned out better as we were in need of more food and water which we were able to get there.
