About This Route

Bei Obermühl setzt man mit der Fähre an das nördliche Donau-Ufer über. Hier verlässt man den Donauradweg in Richtung Norden. Über allmählich ansteigende wenig befahrene Nebenstraßen gelangt man über Hühnergeschrei nach Rohrbach. Weiter geht es durch das landschaftlich reizvolle Mühlviertel nach Aigen, vorher lauert noch eine kurze knackige Steigung. Hinter Aigen beginnt der harte teil der Etappe bis hinauf zur Wsserscheide Donau-Elbe (917 m ü. NN). In rasanter Abfahrt geht es hinunter zum Lipnostausee. Bei Iglbach überfährt man die Grenze nach Tschechien. Der Maoldauradweg führt uns entlang de Stausees bis zur Fähre nach Frymburk.
