3000 Ibones - Marmotilla

Short variant of the Marmota route of the 3000 Ibones. The proposed route starts from the Panticosa spa, following the GR11 eastward towards the Ibones de Brazato and the Brazato pass. From there, it follows the GR to the base of Vignemamale, then turns north to ascend through the Circo de Ara, going around the Vignemamale massif up to the Mulos pass. From here, a long descent begins, first down to the Oulettes de Gaube refuge, while enjoying the imposing north face of Vignemale with its glacier at its feet. The descent continues, much gentler, to the Lac de Gaube and then to the Pont d’Espagne. We pass the spectacular waterfalls and here turn to enter the Marcadau valley towards the Wallon refuge, which is closed for construction work (July 2020). Heading to the Marcadau pass, I leave the original Marmota Route path to shorten it a bit (I have already covered many kilometers today :-) ) and head to the Marcadau pass. From the pass, only the descent remains to the Ibones Azules, the Bachimaña refuge, and back to the Panticosa spa.
