In the morning I first ride to the Pass height of the Ballon d'Alsace. After passing through, I see the Tour heading to the stage finish at the neighbor's. Jens Voigt puts on a great show with Moreau until the finish and even takes the Maillot Jaune.

For me, however, it means: It's time to go home.

In Rambervillers I have to take a detour due to a construction site via the Col de la Chipotte and Raon l'Etape.

Since an hour before this section a storm with heavy lightning occurred, my return is greatly hindered by fallen trees and downed branches. During the storm, I take a break in a bar and eat something there. Instead of heading to the planned campground, I spend the night in a guesthouse in Baccarat.
