KW Storkow 2020-02

The second tour runs from the 'Märkisches Meer,' as Theodor Fontane once called Lake Scharmützelsee, along Lake Storkower See and past Storkow Castle, through Storkow, Kolberg, Blossin, Bindow, following the Dahme with the 'Krüppelsee' near Kablow and Zernsdorf up to KWH. Between Bindow and Kablow, about 10 large information boards along the path illustrate and explain that this area in the Dahme lowlands was settled by Germanic peoples from the Bronze Age up to around 330 AD. Excavations have been taking place here since 1934, proving this through archaeological finds. If you start the tour in Storkow, it is only about 42 km long; from Wendisch Rietz, however, it is about 50 km.
