Wandelroute ES08 - Echt-Susteren - Ommetje Susteren

Welcome to beautiful South Limburg, and especially to the municipality of Echt-Susteren. This 5.2-kilometre walking route takes you through Susteren and its immediate surroundings. You can start either at the Salvatorplein in Susteren or at the P&R parking lot near the NS railway station in Susteren. The route passes cultural highlights such as the Romanesque Amelberga Basilica and the Suestra sculpture garden, featuring works by modern Limburg artists. It also leads you through the peaceful nature reserve 't Hout. In addition, the route takes walkers to the westernmost tip of Germany, the Westzipfel. The circuit is integrated into the networked trail system and is marked with information boards. Follow junctions 13-43-47-90-79-76-75-13. You can also download a separate route description.
