Forbach - Saagenweg - Winterhart - Wasserfall - Toter Mann - Forbach

The tour starts and ends in front of my door at the small parking lot at Waldstrasse 18. However, the tour can also be started from the Forbach train station.

On the road, one drives past Gausbach at the Murgtaltor, the Festhalle and the sports field. After the barrier, take the right path at the fork onto Saagenweg. With a view of Forbach, one rides on the forest road towards Kuckucksfelsen. Mostly level or with a slight incline, one travels above the Sasbachtal through a beautiful coniferous forest until the Sasbach is crossed in a right curve. After that, keep left, go up, passing a small waterfall to a sharp left turn. More or less level, one continues straight towards Winterhart, passing a bench with a view and the Reif-Jäger hut. Afterwards, turn sharply right and take the right forest road. Now it goes slightly uphill until one reaches a bend towards the old wine road / Black Forest cycle path. At the bend, take the right path that leads to the agricultural road up to Toten Mann. The hut at Toten Mann invites to rest and relax. After a small snack, one now enjoys the descent, passing St. Anton down until a left turn with a stream and a goat pasture is taken to the right. After a short climb of about 80 m, one turns left again and follows the relatively level path that runs parallel to the Sasbachtal back toward Kuckucksfelsen. Soon, one merges back onto the forest road that was followed at the beginning of the tour. Here one rolls back down to Saagenweg and returns to Gausbach and Forbach.
