About this route
From Piedipaterna to Norcia. Continuation on the former railway line Spoleto - Norcia.
Contrary to the representation, I did not switch to the SS685 at Km8 but continued on the route. I do not know if the road tunnels (Km 17, Km 18) can be bypassed, as I remained on the state road. In Serravalle (Km19,5) I remained on the state road. It is questionable whether one can cycle through the town.

Norcia is heavily destroyed. In the old town, there are hardly any bars or restaurants. A supermarket can be found in the industrial area. The accommodation is about five kilometers from Norcia, and the room includes a kitchen. Eating or shopping is only possible in Norcia
