Von Pöppschen über die Hölle zum Himmelreich und zurück

Through lakes and forest areas - varied and especially interesting because of the 'Heaven and Hell' that you pass through ;-)

Route description:
From Pöppschen to the B7 by road, then to Pähnitz and to the Pahna relaxation park on a good cycle path, then a bit muddy and small forest paths towards Benndorf. In Benndorf through the village and right towards 'Hell' at Erligtsee. Then to Frohburg and there towards the 'Kingdom of Heaven'. Through the 'Kingdom of Heaven' wooded area on a muddy path to the station and back through Frohburg on the cycle path next to the main road. Altenburger Straße right (alternatively you could continue straight ahead passing Ziegelteich and Teichhaus on a small path). To Eschefeld on the road, then a stretch on the B7. In the forest, left turn through 'Deutsche Holz' on a bumpy forest path back to Pöppschen.

Suitable definitely for touring bikes, definitely not for racing bikes. Suitable for family outings with children if you stay a bit more away from the roads. However, for children, Heaven and Hell might be disappointing – just forest if you don't look very closely...
