São José - Antônio Carlos - Angelina

First day of a total of three routes aiming at Alto da Boa Vista in Rancho Queimado.

In this first route of approximately 64km, point zero is at the seaside of São José and one travels 37 km, passing through the center of Antônio Carlos, mostly tarmacked and predominantly flat with small elevations. From km 38 begins the uphill part of the route and with dirt roads.

The first major elevation occurs when leaving 78 m of altitude, and in approximately 10 km you reach the first peak of 694 m altitude. In a second section uphill after km 50, at 509 m altitude, one climbs 6 km to 743 m altitude. Then it’s just downhill to Angelina where the day's ride ends at the pousada das Freiras.
